Distribution of Burton Snowboards

Snowboarding has fast become the new ‘in’ thing to do amongst the young, celebrities and anybody who is anyone in this world.  Snowboarding firstly became popular in the late 1980’s and was shown for the first time in 1998 in the Winter Olympics.   It was in the late 1990’s that cities started to pick up on the new trend and many cities around England opened dry ski-slopes so that people could practice their hobby without having to travel.  Sheffield opened its dry ski slope and it was marketed as a ‘trendy’ place for the rich to hang out, although over the years people of all ages use the ski slopes, they cater for children’s parties as well as the adult end of the market.

They also picked up on the fact that ski-gear and snowboarding gear is hard to find, other than travelling to snowboard and ski destinations such as Switzerland, Austria and France.  They opened a shop which caters for all aspects of ski-wear, including branded ski’s and Burton Snowboards

There are many snowboarding destinations all over Europe, Les Arcs France is just one of many, high up in the Alps this destination not only offers top ranking terrain, but is brilliant for snowboarders, and has many fun parks within the complex.  There are bars and restaurants, plus a good party atmosphere if nightclubbing is your sort of thing.  The ski and snowboard shops offer good product as often discount price.  The resort opens its arms to beginners, intermediates and advances snowboarders, and the closest airport if travelling is Geneva.

Next on the list of snowboarding favourites is Livigno which is situated in Italy and possibly one of the best ski resorts in Italy, it has a good sized fun park which is well kept and has the added advantage of having very few crowds, which means you can peruse at your leisure.  There is authentic Italian food on nearly every menu throughout the resort, and if it is shopping that you have come for then this is the perfect place for you, as the whole area if free from tax, which means plenty of duty free to take home.  On the downside though (there had to be one) it is a pain to get to, but once there you have the rest to look forward to.  There are lots of restaurants and party places to go to also.  Livigno also welcomes advanced, intermediates and the beginners as a matter of course and the closest airport is Milan.

The last destination which is popular with snowboarders and is often rated as the number one location with snowboarders and skiers is Whistler in Canada.  Whistler is always finding ways to improve what they already have, adding to the resort every year, it is renowned for its fun parks, and has topped the podium ‘best ever’ poll.  It is great for snowboarding action and they offer a variety of different slopes to accommodate everyone from the young and very adventurous, to the more mature individual just starting out, it can all be found here in Whistler Canada, the closest airport is Vancouver.  It also plays host to a very good nightlife, with bars and restaurants on every corner, the accommodation is second to none, and the whole feel of the place is friendly and welcoming.  It is a place that is well worth a visit.

Whatever your destination of choice, all of the above has shopping facilities, some are often more expensive than others, so it is worth checking out prices before booking, all of the shops in these resorts ensure good mark up and sales from their stock, clothing, Snowboards and equipment.
